The job - what you’d be working on
Role overview
We are looking for a System Architect who combines architectural responsibility with hands-on implementation in building next-generation telecom solutions.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and evolution of our order orchestration and service fulfillment platform, while also actively participating in coding, prototyping, and technical implementation. You will help translate high-level architectural direction into concrete service designs, orchestration patterns, APIs, and working software.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture and implementation. You will work closely with senior architects, engineers, and product teams to build scalable orchestration layers that automate product, service, and resource orders, integrate with network controllers, and support modern intent-based and policy-driven network automation.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer stepping into architecture, or an architect who prefers to remain close to the code and delivery.
What you will do
Architecture & Design
Contribute to the design of an order orchestration and service fulfillment platform
Translate orchestration concepts (order decomposition, workflow automation, lifecycle management) into concrete designs, APIs, and components
Define and document service boundaries, data models, APIs, integration patterns, and runtime considerations across OSS/BSS systems
Support architecture decisions related to scalability, reliability, maintainability
Order orchestration & workflow
Design and implement orchestration patterns for:
Order decomposition (Product → Service → Resource)
Activation, modification, and termination workflows
Lifecycle and state management
Contribute to workflow-based orchestration (BPMN or similar engines)
Support integration with network controllers, automation platforms, and IBN frameworks
Help ensure orchestration logic is resilient, observable, and fault-tolerant
Hands-on development
Design and implement backend services and APIs using C# / .NET
Contribute production-quality code alongside engineering teams
Build and evolve system components following agreed architectural patterns
Participate in refactoring and modernization of existing systems
Integration & distributed systems
Design and implement integrations between:
Order management systems
Service and inventory platforms
Network controllers and automation systems
Work with asynchronous, message-driven architectures supporting transactional and state-based processing
Help ensure systems are robust, idempotent, and resilient
Quality & operational readiness
Participate in design and code reviews
Support performance analysis, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
Help define logging, monitoring, and observability patterns
Ensure solutions are production-ready and operable
Collaboration & growth
Work closely with the team to align on platform direction
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and domain experts
Engage with customers when needed to clarify requirements and validate solutions
Share architectural knowledge and best practices within the team
Continue growing expertise in telecom fulfillment and orchestration architecture
What we’re looking for
We expect candidates to meet most of the core requirements below and demonstrate the ability to grow in adjacent areas.
Core skills & experience
Strong experience designing and building distributed backend systems
Solid proficiency in C# / .NET and Linux-based environments
Experience with REST APIs and service-based architectures
Good understanding of distributed systems concepts
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
Ability to balance design thinking with practical implementation
Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
Comfortable working across teams as a technical expert and advisor
Highly valued skills & experience (orchestration & telecom domain)
These skills are not mandatory; however, candidates are expected to demonstrate meaningful experience across a subset of the areas below, aligned with their strengths and background.
Telecom / OSS domain
Exposure to telecom OSS, service fulfillment, or network automation
Understanding of order, service, and resource lifecycle concepts
Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs or similar telecom standards
Orchestration & automation
Experience with workflow engines or orchestration platforms
Experience with microservices-based architectures and messaging systems
Understanding of API-driven, asynchronous, and message-based architectures
Experience with BPMN engines (Camunda, Flowable, Zeebe, etc.)
Network & integration
Exposure to network controllers or automation systems
Experience in telecom networks (IP, MPLS, optical, mobile, access, core)
Familiarity with NETCONF/YANG, gNMI, SNMP, or CLI-based automation
Understanding of intent-based and policy-driven networking (IBN)
Other
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event streaming platforms
Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Experience supporting production systems
Why join us
Work at the intersection of architecture and implementation
Design orchestration systems that power next-generation telecom services
Influence platform evolution while staying hands-on
Join a team modernizing telecom fulfillment and network automation
